Presenters

Emily Booth

Emily Booth is the National Indoor Cycle Program Manager at Life Time Fitness where she is thrilled to fuse her passion for cycling, group fitness, music, and performance together by providing education, inspiration and support for Indoor Cycling instructors across the country. With a degree in Vocal Performance and Theater, her mission is to make exercise as entertaining as it is effective-putting the "fun" back in "function". As a self-described "Endurance Junkie", when she is not in the studio you can find her on the trails training and racing in ultra distance running events like the Life Time Leadville Trail 100.

 

Pattie Bostick-Winn

With over 15 years in the fitness industry, Pattie Bostick-Winn has taught multiple fitness formats around the world and has taught dance locally at her own studio and Muhlenberg College. Her passion lies in helping others realize their full potential and finding grace and beauty in all areas of physical fitness. She enjoys engaging people in workouts that they’ve never experienced before and is inspired by helping others achieve what they never thought possible. She is a dance studio owner, group fitness instructor, personal trainer, dance instructor and Master Trainer for Tabata Bootcamp™ and Barre Above® and her overall goal is to help people to live healthier lives.

 

Becky Conser

Becky Conser is a National Fitness Presenter and Trainer with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and an emphasis on K-12 Physical Education, Health and Dance. She is an ACE Certified GXI with 18 years of experience in the Health/Fitness Sector. She teaches classes for Lifetime and is a Lifetime Academy Instructor.

 

Katie Haggerty

Katie Haggerty has become a popular member of the professional fitness industry through her unique brand and delivery. She is well known for her ability to create a balance of innovation, breakdown and functionality through a signature style of fun that creates an experience unlike any other. Katie is the Signature Program Manager and co-creator of Warrior Sculpt and LifeBarre, including developmental workshops, to grow the Life Time Fitness brand. She is a presenter at multiple national fitness conferences, specializing in yoga, dance, step and motivational speaking, and has been awarded the 2014 EMPOWER! Fitness Conference Female Presenter of the Year. Katie holds a BA in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota and is ACE certified.

 

Alex Isaly

Alex has over 20 years of experience as a creator/lead trainer for several national fitness programs, endurance athlete, author, speaker, and nutritionist. His current projects include Life Time Signature Brand Lead for Kettlebell Kombine, Spartan Strong and WTRX. He is also the creator of KettleWorX® DVD workout series. Alex is a member of IDEA’s Advisory Board and VIP founding member for Men's Health Fitness Council. Media appearances include Radius on NBC Sports Network, The TODAY Show, Discovery Channel, Hallmark, The Talk, Jimmy Kimmel Live, CNN, Men's Health, SHAPE, and OXYGEN Magazine.

 

Stephanie Masceri

Stephanie Masceri, MEd, is a national and international education specialist and presenter for Zumba® fitness. She has choreographed for and been featured in the Zumba® Instructor Network DVDs. She was part of the development team for the Zumba® Kids and Zumba® Kids Jr. program and was co-author of the instructor training manual. Stephanie has taught dance to both children and adults for over 13 years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and a master’s degree in elementary education and is a group exercise instructor certified by ACE and AFAA.

 

Irena Meletiou

Originally Form Cyprus and professionally trained at Alvin Ailey American Dance School, Broadway Dance Center and Ballet Arts in New York City, Irena has studied dance and Karate from a young age . She has been teaching Group Fitness Classes in famous NYC Gyms throughout her entire fitness career, worked with celebrity recording artists and has appeared on TV shows in the US and internationally . Irena is an AFAA and ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor presenting at Zumba® Fitness Conventions and Fitness Trade Shows . Her passion for Martial Arts and Fitness has recently lead her to become a Strong By Zumba® Master Trainer where she trains and licenses future Instructors for the program in New York.

 

JR Reis

JR has been a fitness junkie ever since he was five or six years old, when his mom taught Jazzercise with big, poofy 90's hair and hot pink leg warmers. She was an inspiration to JR and he has been teaching indoor cycle classes for more than seven years. For him, it's the energy of the students, music, and members exceeding fitness goals that keeps him coming back for more. He prides himself in his authentic and positive vibes in his classes.

 

Keli Roberts

Keli has been inducted into the National Fitness Hall of Fame and is a Schwinn® Master Trainer. She is the recipient of the IDEA International Fitness Instructor of the Year and OBOW ECA award for Best Use of Equipment, Best Female Presenter and Lifetime Achievement Award. As SCW Faculty and an ACE Master Trainer, Keli is known for her acclaimed workshops worldwide. Her award-winning videos demonstrate her exceptional teaching skills. Keli is ACSM HFS certified and holds certifications through AFAA, ACE Group Fitness, ACE Gold Personal Trainer and Level 1 Precision Nutrition.

 

Tory Schaefer

Dedicated to the pursuit of education and helping people to develop a better quality of life for themselves, Tory discovered that his love for expression and theatrics could be utilized to create classes that support the awakening of self connection and empowerment for any individual open to the experience. Q: Why is Thursday considered a "special event" day?

A: Thursday, September 22 and Friday, September 23 are considered Pre-Conference event days.  When you register for the EMPOWER! conference weekend, Thursday and the morning/day is not included in the weekend event package (Fri-Sun).  If you are interested in participating in an intensive or certification on Thursday or Friday, you will need to seperately register for each individual class.

Q: How does course selection work?

A: For EMPOWER! upon registration you will be able to select your sessions. We limit the number of registrations to ensure as many attendees as possible receive all their first choice selections at the event and can easily make changes throughout the weekend at will.

Q: When can I check in?

A: You can check in at the event registration desk starting each day at the following times:

Q: What will I receive at check in?


A: You will receive your check-in packet containing a schedule, wristband or ticket, and a goody bag.



Q: What should I bring?


A: Bring a photo i.d., your registration confirmation letter, exercise apparel, a water bottle, and money for lunch and shopping at the expo.



Q: How do I get a receipt?


A:  If you register online, you can print a copy of your receipt at the time of registration. If you mail or fax your registration, you can pick up a copy of your receipt at the event.

 

CECs

Q: What are CECs?


A: CEC stands for Continuing Education Credit (also referred to as CEU or Continuing Education Unit). You receive CECs by attending fitness-related educational workshops. Typically, certification organizations require that instructors earn a certain number of CECs to maintain and renew their certificates. Check with your certifying organization regarding specific requirements.



Q: How many CECs will I get for each class?


A: Each workshop equals .1/1.0 to .2/2.0 CECs from ACE, NASM, AFAA, AEA, AAAI/ISMA and NETA.



Q: How do I get my CECs for attending this event?


A: You will get CEC's in an email the weekend of the event.  Please look for it coming from Global Fitness Solutions.  NOTE:   If you do not see it by the end of the day Sunday, please check in your junk mail.
